After a dangerous cross-check to a player in a vulnerable position, the NHL's Department of Player Safety has fined Branden Hagel the maximum allowable fine for Boarding, $3,750.

Some believed the check to be suspension-worthy, but DoPS reviewed it & felt a fine deemed fit. Luostarinen was not injured on the play & returned to play after the following intermission, which certainly factored into the DoPS decision.

Game 4 is tonight, only one day removed from Game 3 after an odd weekend of scheduling. The Lightning have a commanding 3-0 series lead & have stifled the Presidents' Trophy winning Panthers at every turn.
