Yes, you read the title correctly. If they defeat the Capitals tonight, the Florida Panthers will clinch their first series win since the 1996 Eastern Conference Final.

If they plan to do so tonight, they may be doing it without their best player in the series, Carter Verhaeghe. Panthers Head Coach Andrew Brunette told reporters after the morning skate that Verhaeghe will be a game-time decision on Friday after suffering an injury on Thursday.

The Panthers will likely be without Mason Marchment for a second-straight game as he deals with an injury that's been lingering since late in the regular season.

As for the Capitals, they will be without Tom Wilson once again after he suffered a lower-body injury in Game 1. Wilson has skated the past two days, but won't be good to go tonight for Game 6 in Washington according to Head Coach Peter Laviolette.

Here are the projected lines from each team's morning skate.
