Sweden names leadership group for the 2022 World Championship
The 2022 IIHF World Hockey Championship got underway on Friday morning with four games to come throughout the day.
Earlier this morning, Sweden announced three players that will comprise their leadership group for the tournament.
Vancouver Canucks defenceman Oliver Ekman-Larsson will captain the team, while Seattle Kraken defenceman Adam Larsson and current free agent forward Joakim Nordstrom have been named alternate captains.
Tre Kronor will play their first game of the tournament at 5:20 a.m. ET tomorrow against Austria.
