Things always get heightened during the NHL playoffs, and they sometimes get personal. In the series between the Carolina Hurricanes and Boston Bruins, Brad Marchand decided to really get personal with Tony DeAngelo while the two were chirping each other.

During Sunday afternoon's game four, Marchand and DeAngelo were jaw-jacking each other when DeAngelo decided to poke some fun at Marchand. He smirked at him and made a long-nose gesture, a reference to Marchand's ample beak. Marchand didn't seem to think it was all that funny. He looked right at DeAngelo and said "You're a f--king racist."

In this instance, Marchand is bringing up DeAngelo's rocky past. He was suspended in junior hockey twice for "contravening the rule which attempts to keep homophobic, racist, sexist, and the other derogatory language" out of the game. One of those suspensions was due to a remark he made to a teammate. DeAngelo also got into hot water with the New York Rangers while he was a member of the team for some remarks he had made in his podcast, which he no longer does.

It's not often we see things get this personal in the ice, but it's not really surprising that Marchand would be the one to do it.
