The National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced a pair of fines from games that were played on Saturday.

First, Washington Capitals forward Evgeny Kuznetsov was given a $5,000 fine for high-sticking Florida Panthers forward Noel Acciari. The incident happened during a post-whistle scrum, with Kuznetsov catching Acciari in the chin with his stick. Kuznetsov did not receive a penalty on the play.

Dallas Stars captain Jamie Benn was also given a $5,000 fine for high-sticking Calgary Flames forward Andrew Mangiapane. As was the case with Kuznetsov, Benn did not receive a penalty on the play for the high-stick.
