The Blackhawks' 3x champions took questions from reporters this morning concerning their collective future with the organization they've been with since the start of their respective careers. Questions included the rebuild mentioned by management in recent weeks and sought to ascertain the players' opinions on the team's position and outlook. Team Captain Jonathan Toews took questions & it's fairly obvious he's dealing with mixed emotions. See for yourself:

When asked if he was rethinking his future with the club, Patrick Kane gave a more stoic response when he told Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun Times, "Not right now. That's a discussion for another day, over the summer or whatever it is. Just going to try to finish out the season strong."

Obviously, the players aren't going to sewer the team at the behest of their personal legacies & respective situations. But there is reason to suspect the players could be wearing new uniforms at the start of next season, although it is difficult to imagine what those transactions might look like. Could we see another Suter/Parise situation where both players are bought out of their contracts & free to sign anywhere as free agents? Or could a trade be facilitated?
