Prior to the start of Saturday night's game against the Montreal Canadiens, Ottawa Senators captain Brady Tkachuk mentioned that he's happy he no longer has to play against Shea Weber anymore and face his cross-checks in front of the net.

"I'm not going to miss his cross checks in front of the net," Tkachuk said.

Tkachuk has faced his fair share of cross-checks from Weber. The pair even dropped the gloves against each other in a game on April 3rd 2021.

Weber has missed all of the 2021-22 season due to multiple injuries (ankle, knee and thumb) he's been suffering from. The Canadiens placed him on long-term injured reserve a few days after the season began and there's a good chance that Weber never plays a game in the National Hockey League again.
