According to Bruce Levine of 670 The Score, the Chicago Blackhawks have decided to part ways with franchise legend, Bobby Hull, who has been serving as one of the team's ambassadors. The Blackhawks and Hull reportedly came to this decision back in November.

"We're redefining the role of team ambassador, which unfortunately comes on the heels of losing two very special members of that family," the team said. "When it comes to Bobby specifically, we jointly agreed earlier this season that he will retire from any official team role."

Hull, nicknamed 'The Golden Jet', was one of the greatest players in Chicago Blackhawks franchise history. He spent the first fifteen seasons of his professional career in 'The Windy City', and he still leads the team in goals (604) and is second all-time in points (1,153), only behind Stan Mikita.

It's unclear as to why the two sides decided to part ways, but Bobby has found himself in some controversy over the years.

During the 1980's, Hull was allegedly accused of domestic violence and pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer who tried to intervene in an argument between him and his wife.

Then in 1998, Hull made some pro-Nazi comments to a Russian newspaper, by saying, "Hitler, for example, had some good ideas. He just went a little bit too far."
