If you missed it earlier this week, Auston Matthews had a bit of an embarrassing moment during a game, and one that caused him to lose a tooth. On Thursday night, with the Toronto Maple Leafs taking in the Pittsburgh Penguins, Matthews tried to skate around the back of the net, but ended up ramming the crossbar mouth-first in what looked like a pretty painful mistake. You can find video of the incident at the end of this article.

Fast forward to Sunday, and Matthews was answering questions from reporters when one of them asked about the incident. The question was "do you have any idea how it happened? Were you just off, or were you so locked in on [Sidney Crosby] there?" Matthews response leaves very little doubt over whether he wanted to answer this one.

"I saw the crossbar and decided it would be a great idea to put my face right through it and see what happens. So, great question." - Auston Matthews

The sarcasm is pretty easy to detect, but in case it's not clear, here's video of it as well. His tone and the fact that he looks straight at the reporter when he says "great question" makes things pretty clear.
