The Minnesota Wild took on the Winnipeg Jets on Wednesday night in a divisional battle. The Jets went on to win the game 6-3, but the outcome of the game wasn't the most interesting aspect of the night.

According to The Athletic's Michael Russo, twelve teams had representatives scouting the game ahead of the NHL's Trade Deadline next month. Of the twelve scouts was Ottawa Senators general manager Pierre Dorion, which was the second time in the past month that he has scouted the Wild.

Minnesota is reportedly interested in Senators center Colin White. He has had an up-and-down year tallying just 18 points (10 goals, 8 assists) in 45 games. Along with this the Senators have expressed interest in Wild forward Kevin Fiala, but it seems that Minnesota is keen on keeping the fan favorite unless something too good to pass up comes along.

It will be interesting to see if the Wild make any moves at the trade deadline as they have been rolling as of late, especially since calling up top prospect Matt Boldy. As for the Senators, they are still in a rebuild and will likely be sellers at the deadline once again.
