Mitch Marner proves he's a crybaby one last time after game 7 loss

Mitch Marner proved he's a crybaby one last time after the Maple Leafs' tough game 7 loss at the hands of the Boston Bruins.

Both him and Morgan Rielly refused to meet with the media after the game. The two players were directly responsible for the Bruins' overtime goal.

Marner wasn't pushing enough on the play, and Rielly was simply too slow.

From this angle, it's blatant:

For two players who are supposed to be leaders in the locker room, refusing to own your mistakes, even if they're huge pills to swallow, is unacceptable.

As team leaders, who earn the big bucks to represent the team, they must do their duties, even in the tough moments.

"Marner and Rielly not addressing the media after game 7 is a joke btw. 2 guys with letters make mistakes on the final goal and they can't even go out there and own it. Would not care if they were not back next year."

However, in Marner's case, we can understand a bit more. Toronto media have been relentless on the player for the whole series.

It's no excuse, but we can understand if he had some resentment about how he was treated.

We'll see in the coming days how he reacts in his next meeting with the press, possibly in the end-of-season media availability.

Stay tuned for further details.
