William Nylander has been absent from both games in the Maple Leafs first round series, and while it was close, it appears he's not ready to return.
The Toronto Maple Leafs were hopeful that star winger William Nylander would make a return for game three in Toronto, but unfortunately, Insider Elliotte Friedman has confirmed that a return isn't yet happening.
No Nylander tonight
It is reportedly a head injury that's keeping Nylander out, and while most fans would like to see him push through, injuries such as that aren't something to mess with, so the team are being cautious.
TSN's Mark Masters has the same report, and while the team are without a top star, they picked up a huge game two win, and appear confident that they can win this series, even without No. 88 in the lineup.
