In breaking news, the Colorado Avalanche have made a major roster move today placing Chris Wagner on waivers ahead of game 2 tonight against the Jets.

With the Stanley Cup Playoffs in full swing, its not common you get major roster moves made at this time of the year. However, that doesn't appear to be the case for the Colorado Avalanche, who have just placed forward Chris Wagner on waivers.

Wagner isn't a main piece of the puzzle for the Avalanche, only appearing in 13 games for the team this regular season and scoring just 1 goal and 1 assist in those games. He did not play in game 1 for the Avs against the Winnipeg Jets and was unlikely to crack the lineup unless there is a drastic injury bug that hits the Avs forward group.

Wagner has been playing in the NHL since 2015 and has played in 373 career NHL games, recording a total of 38 goals and 27 assists for 65 points.
